Pure training for researchers

The Library and RIS will be running an introduction to Pure for all researchers. This is a brief, generic session. You may prefer to attend one of the faculty-specific sessions.

The session will provide an introduction to Pure, including a demo of how to create research outputs and who to ask for help. You will practise adding a journal article to Pure.

Brief Outline: 

  • What is Pure?

    • What is Pure used for?

    • Introduction to the different modules, including Activities, Impacts and Research Outputs

    • An overview of Pure

  • Research outputs

    • Manually creating a research output in Pure (demo)

    • Using Pure to support Open Access compliance (demo)

    • Creating a journal article (hands-on)

    • Searching and filtering in Pure (demo)

  • Creating an ORCID record

  • Where to go for help – online guides, email addresses, Superusers in faculties
