Referencing and avoiding plagiarism In-Person
In academic writing it is essential that you acknowledge the sources of your information and ideas, in both your text, through in-text citations and in a bibliography or reference list at the end of your work. This session covers the basics of referencing; what it is, why you should do it and which style you should be using. Examples given use a variety of styles including the Harvard style. There will be time for questions and to practice what you have learnt via some short activities within the session.
