Finding Your Feet: Navigating Academic Support and Resources (Y1 Ignite students only) In-Person
ELIGIBILITY NOTE: This workshop is only on offer to first-year students in the Ignite programme.
Starting uni marks a transition from one level of study to the next. In this workshop, we will engage in reflection, discussion, and activities to enhance your academic success at this critical juncture:
- Identify and celebrate your current strengths as a student;
 - Discover which skills you could refine to work with greater efficiency and less stress;
 - Learn about tools and resources to support your learning journey;
 - Build a gameplan to target your priority areas of growth.

This workshop will be facilitated by Alice Stinetorf, a writing specialist from the Academic Skills Service. You will have opportunities to chat with and learn from other students: this is an interactive workshop, not a lecture!
Location and Time: Building 100 / Room 7013, Highfield Campus (16:30-17:45).
Accessibility: Building 100 is wheelchair accessible, with lifts to reach the 7th floor. The workshop will include slides featuring visuals, spoken elements, and activities conducted on paper or screens. Please contact Alice via the Academic Skills inbox (academicskills@soton.ac.uk) with any requests or questions about accommodations to enable your full participation in this event.
