Enabling Services: Introduction to Study Skills - Part C: Developing an Academic Style In-Person
Designed for students with a specific learning difficulty such as Dyslexia, this workshop is designed to review the academic essay structure and writing style. We will provide advice and basic guidelines on sentence length and content, together with paragraph structure in academic writing. We will demonstrate editing and proof reading strategies such as ‘Reverse Outline.’ There will be opportunities to ask questions related to your own work and share experiences with others, in a small, informal group setting.
This is part of a series of small group workshops, aimed at students with a specific learning difficulty, such as Dyslexia. Students may choose to attend Parts A, B and C, however there is no requirement to attend all three sessions.
