What is Academic Writing? In-Person
This interactive and collaborative workshop will introduce you to the concept and practice of academic writing. This is a good place to start if you’ve been assigned your first written assessment, or if you’re looking to relearn some of the basics. In the session, we’ll consider some of the underlying principles of good academic writing and also cover the main stylistic conventions to achieve a clear and formal writing style. Please note that this is an introductory session to academic writing. For more detailed guidance on specific parts of the academic writing process, take a look at our other workshops on this page.
